This is a studio recording which was produced preceding the actual event on 9th, 10th and 11th June 2009 when the Massed bands of the Royal Marines performed the Beating Retreat ceremony on London's Horse Guards Parade in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Marines’ Captain General Prince Philip in celebration of his 88th birthday.
